Earlier this week I shared my tester version of the latest pattern release from Made for Mermaids. You can find that version here. I couldn’t resist sewing up the asymmetrical version as well when I saw how amazing everyone’s top were turning out. Also, one of the testers did this is a pink velvet dress length and it was so beautiful!! Here I created the top length, hemmed version for a quick and cute top.
I created this top using the same soft, stretchy sweater knit from Hobby Lobby. The lack of recovery on this knit make this extra slouchy, so keep in mind a more structured knit will look a bit different. While I love this look, I would like to create this in something with more recovery so it doesn’t stretch out at the neckline too much.
I paired this with a strapless bra instead of the Bridgette Bralette that I featured in my other Deanna post. It gives a sexy bare shoulder look which you know I am always sporting at the preschool pick up line…LOL. But it will be perfect for a date night with my handsome hubby.
Paired here with my favorite “jeans” from Amazon— yep, Amazon! and $20
