The latest Fibre Mood Magazine has just released and I had the opportunity to try out the one shoulder top. Here is a look at the Chloe Pattern, available in issue 15

Fibre Mood Chloe Pattern
The Chloe is a one shoulder top with an optional extra large sew on tie with bow. Designed for woven fabrics with good drape.
Supplies for the One Shoulder Top
The Chloe Pattern calls for woven fabric and interfacing. I decided to try this top using knit. The Swiss Dot knit here is from Olga’s Closet. I omitted the interfacing on the band at the top and looking back, I regret that choice. Even if you are going to use a knit like I did, make sure you add that interfacing for stabilizing the neckband. I think my band would have looked much nicer with it added.
My favorite thread in my Pfaff machine is Gutermann and I always serge with this fabulous stretch thread for nice soft seams.

Earrings are from the fabulous XtraByStacey Shop– she runs great sales and ships fast.
Pattern Thoughts
Overall I love this top. I was a little surprised to find the underarm tighter than expected, next time I will add a touch more length in the shoulder. The length is great to throw on with jeans and I think it would make an absolutely stunning little dress. I really want to get some solid black or red fabric to make this as a cocktail dress. The top is perfect for a summer night out and I love it paired with these white jeans.
This pattern was quick to sew and could be made by a confident beginner. The only real tricky part was the shoulder seam and it takes a bit of patience and fiddling. But if that doesn’t sound like something you would like to tackle, please know there are so many beautiful patterns in this issue, I feel like the summer releases are always my favorite! I hope you get a chance to check out the latest patterns.
