Give your self-sewn lingerie a beautiful finishing touch with these simple lingerie bows.
Gather your supplies and let’s get started. You will need:
- 3mm Ribbon such as this one from Offray
- scissors – these are my favorite for small jobs
- lighter or fray check

Lingerie Bow Steps:
- Cut ribbon to 6 inches
2. Fold each end of the ribbon toward the center so that the ends are touching
3. Bring the two loops towards one another and cross like you are going to tie shoes using the “bunny ears” method.
4. Pull one loop through the other to form knot
5. Gently pull the loops to form knot while keeping an eye on the tails and making adjustments as needed. You don’t want to pull too hard or the bow will come undone. Just make small adjustments until you like the bow size.
Each loop will measure about 1/2 inch when the bow is tied.
6. Place ends together and cut evenly to trim.
7. Finally, quickly run each end of the tail over a flame or seal with fray check to prevent unraveling.

Such a simple addition but it really gives it that polished, finished look. Enjoy making lingerie bows now for all your favorite makes.
